Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Production Director for our AAA Unreal 5 multiplayer hero shooter game. This full-time position at either our Lisbon location or timezone-friendly remote work boasts the opportunity for flexible remote work arrangements alongside a talented team from around the world. As the Studio Production Director, you will be the production leader. Working closely with, and building, a top team of Producers and Product Owners to ensure the creative vision of the game is achieved. Your focus will mainly be internal, to deliver the overall game together with the Creative Director, the Producer, and Game Director. You will be part of the Senior Leadership Management team with a core focus around delivering on time and to budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the production team and all content directors to evaluate the overall vision and project requirements of the game.
Help define the scope of the project, establishing a high-level roadmap, timeline, key deliverables, milestones, and development strategies and budgets.
Proactively anticipate and identify potential risks and setbacks, implementing plans to address and overcome them effectively.
Regularly monitor progress and coordinate with the production team to ensure the project stays on schedule.
Engage in reflective analysis to assess what is effective and what needs improvement, identifying areas for enhancing our processes, methods, and practices.
Ensure quality and timeliness of externally delivered assets and content.
Consistently balance time vs quality vs budget to manage the scope and delivery of the game with the Project Director and content directors.
Ideal Candidate:
Several years of experience in overseeing game development in the video game industry, ideally having shipped 1 game as Production or Development Director.
At least 3 shipped AAA game on console, PC and/or mobile, ideally from conception to completion.
Extensive understanding of development pipelines, interdependencies and familiarity with managing large team production.
An eye for successful executors and partners to assist in externally delivered game content.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a focus on multi-cultural game teams.
