Role Overview:

The Game Sound Designer will be crucial in creating compelling and immersive audio experiences for our games. This role involves crafting a wide range of sound effects, from subtle ambient noises to dramatic action sequences, and integrating them using WWISE to ensure a rich, interactive game environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, record, and edit sound effects, voice-overs, and musical scores.

  • Integrate and implement sound assets into games using WWISE.

  • Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure audio complements and enhances the visual and gameplay experience.

  • Manage audio asset libraries and maintain sound documentation.

  • Utilize WWISE to create dynamic audio systems that react to game events and player actions.

  • Conduct audio testing to ensure sound quality and functionality across all game platforms.

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest in audio technology and techniques to enhance game sound design.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Degree in Sound Design, Music, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in sound design for games, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.

  • Proficient with Audiokinetic WWISE and other digital audio workstations like Pro Tools, Ableton Live, or similar.

  • Strong technical skills in sound recording, editing, and mixing.

  • Experience with Unreal Engine or similar game development engines.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new challenges.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

  • A passion for games and a keen understanding of how sound enhances the gaming experience.
